A proactive project using James Edmonson’s Swear Display typeface, “F*ck!” plays on the literal and ironic ways a typeface can communicate emotion. Inspired by the name itself, the project explores how far design can emulate feeling while staying true to its function. Swear Display’s refined, elegant serif clashes with vulgar language, and this specimen captures the tension between beauty and profanity — revealing how typography can push both form and meaning to their expressive limits.
